    This piece deviates from the highly-regarded canonical decoration of a Greek column and instead aligns itself with maximalist style embellishment. In doing so, it rejects hegemonic aesthetics and illustrates a speculative future where non-hegemonic groups – specifically non-white – are empowered to participate in world-building that previously did not acknowledge their contributions.
